A review of Banting's book.

What is it about?

The review is quite negative, as Banting doesn't really know anything about translation, and doesn't really care; she mostly gushes about language in fairly uninformed ways. The review would have been much more tolerant had she not called her book "A Theory of Translation Poetics." It's not.

Why is it important?

I'm not sure it is. It's mostly a lot of snorting in disgust.
