What is it about?

The aim of the paper was to investigate how managers and employees perceive a range of different job seekers, and to map the main obstacles for assessing these job seekers positively. Respondents were presented with vignettes describing job seekers who either had a mental illness, a physical disability, or represented a cultural minority.

Why is it important?

The work shows how managers and employees perceive job seekers who are vulnerable to discrimination in the recruitment process, and identifies barrier-profiles that can be a starting point vocational rehabilitations actors and others to increase knowledge, reduce discrimination and create good job matches.
