Effect of stress on job burnout in physiotherapy teachers during COVID 19 lockdown phase

What is it about?

Job burnout occurs after chronic stress and less effective coping strategies used by an individual. COVID 19 lockdown phase was the stressful period for all occupations especially the teachers who had to turn towards e-learning approaches to teach. This study examines the stress, self-efficacy, job burnout and coping strategies used by physiotherapy academicians during lockdown phase.

Why is it important?

Timely prevention or amelioration of chronic stress can prevent job burnout and can help teachers to develop efficient coping strategies in dealing with stressful situations and in maintaining efficiency in their jobs.
