Balance and visual dysfunction in stroke

What is it about?

Problems with visual function and balance problems after stroke are often overlooked. We show in this study that these problems correlate and can improve during a 4 month rehabilitation program. This training was performed by a team of optometrist and pysiotherapist experienced within brain injury.

Why is it important?

In this study we show that it is possible to improve binocular visual dysfunction and balance problems using intensive training - even 2 years after stroke. Since these problems have a huge impact on the patients lives these results are very important knowledge.
