Providing optimal palliative care for nursing home residents with young-onset dementia

What is it about?

We administered comprehensive surveys to physicians, nursing staff, and family caregivers of residents with young-onset dementia. The suveys contained questions on palliative care in a broad sense: demographic, psychosocial, and medical aspects.

Why is it important?

Palliative care is crucial for maintaining quality of life. In particular in nursing home residents who facing further decline. However, previous studies have not looked into this topic.
