What is it about?

Gait disturbances in a memory clinic cohort are related to level of cognitive impairment and indirect measures of neurodegeneration. Gait analysis was done with inexpensive and easy-to-use accelerometers and associated with tau levels in cerebral spinal fluid.

Why is it important?

Gait analysis with accelerometers is a relatively inexpensive and easy to use method to potentially support clinical diagnoses of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
