Lumbar pain intensity reduction through the stabilization exercise program.

What is it about?

This paper is about comparison of lumbar stabilization exercises program in the open and closed kinetic chain, in relation to the program of lumbar stabilization exercises and thoracic mobilization in a closed kinetic chain, and evaluation of the clinical effectiveness of both exercise programs on pain intensity and functional disability reduction.

Why is it important?

Closed kinetic chain stabilization exercises should be included in the kinesitherapy program for patients with chronic low-back pain, because they lead to a more effective reduction of pain intensity and functional disability compared to closed and open kinetic chain stabilization exercises, and in order to research further stabilization exercise programs to optimize the methods of use and selection of patients.
