What is it about?

This is a proposal to Assess people with lower limb amputation without prostheses

Why is it important?

Many of the tests to assess fitness in amputees are designed for people who have their prosthesis. However, from the immediate postoperative period, prolonged rest occurs that can generate adverse effects. That is why this fitness evaluation battery (EVAM1) is proposed to have the information required for the exercise prescription and to start early exercise in the pre-prosthetic phase in order to act against physical deconditioning that can occur due to immobilization
