What is it about?

The prognostic role of Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte ratio in Non-small cell lung cancer treated with Epidermal growth factor receptor Tyrosine kinase inhibitor.

Why is it important?

NLR and MLR are the none-invassive markers. Compared with other serum markers as Cyfra 21–1, CA12-5, NSE or imaging diagnostic tools as PET-CT, CT-scanner or MRI, the use of inflammatory markers as NLR and MLR in treatment monitoring will ensure the safety of patients while maintaining low cost and being easy to implement.
