Quality assurance for English Medium Instruction

What is it about?

English-taught degree programs offered in Europe are usually taught by non-native speakers who are experts in their respective field. We have developed a certification procedure with specific criteria to ensure the linguistic quality of teaching in such programs.

Why is it important?

The certification procedure is unique in that it includes student perspectives along with expert perspectives to generate a score of one observed lesson. As English-taught degree programs continue to increase in Europe and beyond, quality measures such as this one are warranted to ensure certain linguistic quality standards are being met.
