Helping behavioral health programs in NYS to implement IPS supported employment services

What is it about?

Learning from one another as well as subject matter experts, dozens of community psychiatric rehabilitation sites developed competency with, and successfully implemented IPS. Learning collaborative activities helped these sites achieve employment outcomes consistent with national benchmarks.

Why is it important?

For many individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness, employment is an important recovery goal. Traditionally, employment outcomes for this population have been low. Successful implementation of IPS results in considerably improved outcomes. Use of learning collaboratives results in bringing this approach to scale by involving large numbers of implementation sites.
