Response to criticisms of the New Theory of X-ray Diffraction

What is it about?

This is a peer reviewed response to criticism of The New Theory of X-ray Diffraction. This response includes an improved explanation of the theory that counters the criticisms made. A series of wide ranging experiments are presented that support the new theory.

Why is it important?

The criticism is based on reiterating conventional theory, whereas this new theory accounts for the discrepancies and removes many of the assumptions in the conventional theory. This new theory modifies the interpretation of data which is most pronounced for small crystals.
