X-ray Fourier transform holography by amplitude-division-type Fresnel zone plate interferometer.

What is it about?

An X-ray Fourier holography scheme is presented and theoretically investigated. The scheme is consisted of two Fresnel zone plates. In the focal plane of the first plate the second plate is placed. Two strong spatial harmonics form the object Fourier hologram. The object is placed in the path of one of beams, which passes through the system. The hologram is registered in the focal plain of the second plate. A numerical method of reconstruction is presented. Numerically simulated holograms and reconstructed patterns show the capability of the scheme for objects investigations. The simulations also show that the theoretical approximate analyses are true.

Why is it important?

This scheme has a less coherence requirements, since the amplitude division is used.
