Structural information of small nanoparticles from scattering and spectroscopy data simultaneously

What is it about?

A method to overcome limitations of standard data analysis of scattering data which rely on the concept of a lattice, i. e. an infinite periodic structure. This is especially relevant in the case of small nanoparticles due to their finite size.

Why is it important?

The method described removes artifacts in data analysis of scattering data which originate in the finite size of small nanoparticles which terminate their periodic (crystalline) structure. These artifacts prohibited so far quantitative analysis especially in case of simultaneous analysis of scattering and spectroscopy data.
