Paradigms in word formation

What is it about?

Paradigms have traditionally been restricted to the realm of inflection. However, research in the last decades has proved that extending the paradigm to word formation is possible. While previous studies have mainly focused on affixal derivation, this volume collects contributions addressing the role played by paradigms in other word-formation processes.

Why is it important?

This volume offers new perspectives on the notion of paradigms by providing theoretical and empirical evidence, both relevant for the description and application of paradigms.
