The runic inscriptions of the Isle of Man

What is it about?

It is a review of a corpus edition of the runic inscriptions of the Isle of Man. Though a rather small island, it houses an impressive number of Viking Age runic inscriptions, predominantly Scandinavian, and the review gives an overview of this scholarly edition by Michael Barnes.

Why is it important?

The runic inscriptions of the Isle of Man have long been missing a scholarly edition, which makes the reviewed work a welcome addition to the runological field.
