How intonation contours can be taught to second language learners

What is it about?

We compare different graphical notations for the melodic properties of speech in a study in which we have pairs of language learners produce the right intonation contours in a foreign language.

Why is it important?

Speech melody and other prosodic features are very hard to learn in another language, and finding a good way to present this information can help language teachers worldwide.
