Research output assessment in Spain: Translation Studies as a case study

What is it about?

This article departs from a study of some Spanish evaluating agencies and their assessment criteria. After drafting a list of merits listed in each agency the article poses some basic questions regarding assessment. It then goes into the nature of assessment criteria and offers concrete data on Translation and Interpreting Studies journal indexing.

Why is it important?

The paper tries to reflect upon the impact of new trends in quality assessment on Translation Studies scholars in Spain. To the best of our knowledge, the study is innovative and offers intersting results.
