What is it about?

African American students are more likely than other students to be placed in special education for Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disturbances, and Specific Learning Disabilities. However, we show that they are less likely to be placed in the category of Speech or Language Impairment. We discuss reasons why this might be happening.
