What is it about?
Synchrotron X-ray mirrors require both excellent slope and height errors. We have shown for the first time that a hybrid slope-and-height figuring model can help achieve ultra-precison slope and height at the same time with ion beam figuring. We have demonstrated the effectiveness of the method with a real X-ray manufacturing process.
