AAC Intervention with Adults with Developmental Disabilities
What is it about?
Supervisors and graduate SLP students provided AAC intervention focused on different areas important to using AAC systems in an adult day program. Results showed that providing specific intervention services helped adults learn new skills.
Why is it important?
This work is important because research rarely targets adults with developmental disabilities and especially those that use AAC systems in a community setting.
