Using ReST in Italian
What is it about?
The Rapid Syllable Transition (ReST) treatment is an effective intervention designed to address the planning and programming disorder found in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). We have shown for the first time that ReST can be adapted to another language other than English and it can be effective as therapy for italian children.
Why is it important?
Our finding show that the two children treated with ReST showed both positive treatment results and some generalization, which were both maintained to 4 months post-treatment. These results appears to have been as effective as ReST delivered in English for both children.
