Preschool children learn new adjectives: Evidence from event-related potentials
What is it about?
Children learn adjectives rapidly during the preschool years. This study investigated methods for helping children to learn new adjectives using different recall schedules. Learning by each recall schedule was assessed by a child's ability to accurately recall adjectives and by the brain activity (event-related potentials) recorded when a child saw pictures of the adjectives and heard matching or mismatching spoken adjectives.
