What is it about?

Few clinical tools are available for tracking infants’ progression through early vocal stages, although such tracking supports the identification of children at risk for language delays and guides early intervention for children with disabilities. We developed the Vocal Landmarks Interview for this purpose and demonstrate that the tool is sensitive to age and has sufficient concurrent and internal validity, suggesting it shows promise as a useful clinical tool for tracking vocal and early verbal milestones.
