What is it about?

Childhood Apraxia of Speech is a rare speech disorder characterized by inconsistent speech errors. It is well known that children with this disorder require an intense sensory motor speech therapy program to make good progress to learn to speak clearly. We show that different therapy procedures may be effective depending upon whether the inconsistent errors are primarily associated with an underlying problem with phonological memory and planning or a problem with motor planning.
