Practice-based research is a way to value clinical decision making in everyday contexts.
What is it about?
This article is intended to invigorate interest in the uniqueness of practice-based research as a way of encouraging the talents of researchers and practitioners as they work together to gather evidence for improving the lives of individuals with communication disorders.
Why is it important?
If we wish to reduce the research-practice gap and promote a form of research–practice integration, then we need to recognize a variety of research perspectives, in particular those that value the practitioner in the process.
