What is it about?
Monopitch and mono loudness is a frequently observed effect of Parkinson's disease, and one that may influence speech intelligibility. An increased pitch and intensity variability is therefore a desirable outcome of treatment of the disease. We investigate the effects of deep brain stimulation in two different anatomical targets in terms of the ability to reduce monopitch and mono loudness.
